Hello I’m Amy, the owner/builder/designer of Handmade by Amylynn and House to Home. Here’s a little backstory about me. I have 2 amazing kids, Frankie my 16 year old daughter and Tommy my 14 year old son. I also have an amazingly supportive husband, Chris. I was a paraprofessional at a local school district. I loved working with children but I also loved tinkering with things and figuring out how things worked. One day I saw a piece of furniture that I loved and had to have so I decided to build it myself! From that moment I knew “that’s what I wanted to do when I grew up!” 😂 After lots of support from my family and friends, I quite my job and started Handmade by Amylynn. Fast forward 5 years and we have House to Home!! My brilliant community of Palos Heights, IL has supported me throughout these 5 years so well I’m able to now display my furniture along with other handmade home decor and non handmade home decor item at House to Home. I absolutely love meeting you all so please stop in and say hi and check out what we have! ❤️
The store is absolutely beautiful. There are so many treasures to find. You can go in once and then again the next day and there will be something new awaiting you. Every detail is beautifully displayed. A true gem in the Palos Community. I plan to be back many more times. And the staff is absolutely wonderful. They make you feel so welcomed and treat you as an invited friend all while maintaining social distancing and wearing masks. If you have not been make sure you makes plans to stop in and explore.
Amy has been making me custom items for a few years now, so I am thrilled she has her own store! Just as expected- the store is beautiful, Amy and her family are very helpful and personable, and the abundance of items are high quality! The best part is if you don't see exactly what you're looking for, then talk to Amy. She'll make it for you!The store also has plenty of room to remain socially distant during this time, and all staff were wearing masks.
